Our Growth Journey
1995
Adla Industries began its journey with visionary entrepreneurs who started out as general merchandise traders, laying the foundation for what would become a growing and dynamic business.
Early 2000s
Through years of trading experience, they identified a growing market need for affordable, reliable plastic footwear and transition into manufacturing, establishing a footwear operation in Malawi.
2017
Adla was established in 2017 and focused on setting up its manufacturing plant and developing operations before officially commencing production in early 2020. The company expanded its product offering with the introduction of a plastic household range and opened a dedicated manufacturing facility in Lusaka, Zambia, producing both household products and footwear.
Growth & Expansion
Operations continue to scale, with increased investment in machinery, workforce, and infrastructure, positioning Adla Industries as the largest household goods manufacturer in Zambia while strengthening its presence in local and neighbouring markets.
Our Story
From Trade to Manufacturing Leadership
Adla Industries began its journey with visionary entrepreneurs who started out as general merchandise traders, laying the foundation for what would become a growing and dynamic business.
Through this deep market exposure, they identified supply gaps and recognised the increasing demand for reliable, affordable products. Seizing this opportunity, the business transitioned into manufacturing, establishing its first footwear production operation in Malawi in 2005 and laying the foundation for a strong, purpose-driven enterprise.
As operations continued to grow, Adla further expanded into plastic household goods manufacturing in Zambia in 2017, reinforcing its commitment to local production and regional market leadership. The establishment of a dedicated manufacturing plant in Lusaka marked a pivotal step in positioning Adla as a fully integrated manufacturer serving both local and export markets.
Today, Adla Industries Limited owns a modern factory and warehousing facility covering approximately 25,000 square meters, supporting both household and footwear manufacturing operations. The company’s production facilities are equipped with advanced, internationally recognised machinery, enabling efficient manufacturing processes and consistent quality standards across all product categories.
